Having broken jaws or limbs? You need Dr. Cameron Clokie

Dr. Cameron Clokie is a very renowned Oral maxillofacial surgeon, a scientist and an entrepreneur. Founder of Induce Biologics; a company that is focusing on producing musculoskeletal reconstruction solution through the use of regenerative protein known as bio morphogenetic protein (BMP), which was discovered at the University of California in the 1950s by Marshall Urist.

Marshall Urist, a deceased orthopedic surgeon whom Dr. Cameron worked under him for almost four years, also discovered other growth-inducing proteins within the bone’s matrix. Marshall used this BMP to foster regeneration of limb bones. Most famously, used it also to reconstruct lost bones around the teeth of singer Dionne Warwick.

Dr. Cameron performed his first reconstruction procedure in 1999 using BMP. He realized that the surgery needed three milligrams of the protein, which he sourced it by grinding forty cadavers. This was not a recommended source especially for commercial purposes, so Dr. Cameron turned to US biotech company.

Dr. Cameron uses this protein to coaxes stem cells to regenerate a new bone as they grow in a little child. Dr. Cameron was also able to apply this process successful recently on Mr. Paul Russel. Russel had his jaw bone removed when he underwent a surgical procedure to remove a tumor on his cheek. Read more: Dr. Cameron Clokie Gives His Quick Tips for Tooth Care While Traveling

The surgery was performed at Toronto General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. Since then, Dr. Cameron has successfully helped eight patients. He believes that this innovative surgery procedure will revolutionize medicine research on regenerative tissues and a relief to spinal cord problems.

Education background

Dr. Cameron graduated from McGill University as Doctor of Dental Surgery and also a Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He served as professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Toronto University.

He is also an author; his work mostly based on his research in regeneration of tissues studies. His papers have been published both internationally and nationally and have presented his experiments to conventions globally.

Bloomberg reveals that Dr. Cameron Clokie retired from academics in 2017 and now concentrates on his company, Induce Biologics. He is experimenting on generating BMP by injecting the genes producing these proteins on goat embryos. He argues that goats will be able to produce this protein in large quantities through their milk.
