The technology industry is an industry where the competition is tough. Patents and who has access to use them often come into play. Securus Technologies is a technology firm that is based in Dallas, Texas. They work with corrections facilities and law enforcement agencies all over North America. Recently, their competitor, Global Tel Link, put out a press release making some strong allegations against Securus Technologies. A few days later, Securus Technologies responded to the claims made by GTL.
A majority of the claims made by GTL were related to patent disputes between Global Tel Link and Securus Technologies. The issue in question deals with who has access to these patents and which parts apply to which firm. Securus Technologies responded by saying this matter is currently being tried in a court of law, and it will be up to the court to decide.
Another claim made by GTL is that Securus Technologies has a history of being sue happy and quick to bring about a lawsuit. Securus Technologies strongly condemns this claim. Securus Technologies tries to solve any matter in a civil way and out of the courthouse. If a matter is unable to be solved without involving a court, a lawsuit if the final course of action that is taken. Using the court system tends to be a long and expensive course of action and Securus Technologies tries to avoid that route if at all possible.
Competitors having disputes is common in the technology industry. GTL put out a press release stating their side, and Securus Technologies was quick to respond. The wait continues to see how the outcome of these suits will be.

Wen hair care products have been getting a lot of buzz over the last few years. The beauty products were created by hairstylist Chaz Dean, and include natural plant oils and extracts that soften and condition the hair.
One of the best-selling products from the Wen hair care line is the cleansing conditioner, which can be used after shampooing the hair or as a leave-in treatment. After shampooing the hair, add up to 32 pumps of cleansing conditioner to the hair (depending on hair length) and spread the conditioner from the roots to the tips of the hair. It’s also beneficial to add some conditioner to the scalp, since the ingredients can get rid of debris and excess oil that can cause dandruff and scalp irritation. Since the conditioner doesn’t contain additives like sodium lauryl sulfate, it won’t lather, but that doesn’t means it’s not working to improve your hair’s health.
For best results, leave the cleansing conditioner on for a few minutes. Rinse the conditioner out with warm water, massaging the hair and scalp during rinsing. This ensures that the conditioner is still working to improve the health of the hair. Going through the conditioning process twice helps to make the hair shinier and stronger, and can keep the hair from becoming stringy or dry during blow-drying. After rinsing the cleansing conditioner out, the Intensive Hair Treatment from Wen can be used to add even more moisture to the hair and prevent split ends. This product should be left on the hair for about half an hour works well for hair that has been excessively color or heat-treated.
Adding a little water to Wen cleansing conditioner turns the product into a leave-in conditioner that can be worn all day. Hair is less frizzy and more manageable, and the ingredients in the conditioner also help to protect against heat styling. After using the cleansing conditioner, Wen products such as Nourishing Mousse work well to help the hair retain moisture, and the product is ideal for air-drying curly or thick hair. Wen’s Styling Creme can also be used to prevent frizz and add moisture.

Doe Deere, creator and CEO of the vibrant and daring cosmetic line, Lime Crime talked about her formula for success. In an interview, Deere explained the philosophy that led to her being named as one of the “Top Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs” by Self-Made Magazine.
Deere described herself as an “artistic, imaginative kid,” who was “hardcore into color,” experimenting with pencils and paints before moving onto makeup. At the age of nine, she began including her friends in her exploration of color. Deere admits she was “actually pretty bad at makeup,” until she reached her 20’s. Deere, driven by her passion for color and desire to create new ways for women to express themselves, continued to experiment.
After discovering theatrical makeup, Deere started breaking traditional cosmetic boundaries. She describes makeup as being “the journey of discovery and experimentation.” Deere continued with her experimentation, pushing cosmetic borderlines and gaining a large online following in the process.
In 2008, Deere decided it was time to get serious and moved Lime Crime into a bigger market. Deere had created the name in 2004 when she began selling on eBay. Deere admits she would have chosen another name if she knew how successful her line would become. However, the name, like the company has grown significantly. Deere states the name “stands for color revolution,” and makes it easy to search for online.
Deere values the advantages to being an internet-based company. She welcomes the instant feedback from her customers, recognizing it as a tool to help the company mature and develop. Deere states, “it’s all part of the entrepreneurial journey.”
Deere stated it was “pretty surreal” to find herself on the cover of Self-Made Magazine, along with Suze Orman and Arianna Huffington. She credits her success to loving what she does and hopes her passion will inspire other women to begin their own entrepreneurial journeys. Be sure to check out Lime Crime for yourself too on websites like Urban Outfitters.
